
Unit Overview
This unit has been designed for sixth grade students. Throughout this unit the students will be working cooperatively as they gain knowledge about different events used in the Olympics. In addition to learning the techniques to perform these events, the students will be required to use their technological skills to research and report about current and former Olympians. During this unit I will be addressing the following Connecticut Content Standards for Physical Education. The standards are located at the following URL:

- Students will become competent in a variety of, and proficient in a few, physical activities.
- Students will understand and apply principles of human movement to the learning and development of motor skills.
